Special Instructions: CSF specimens are to be delivered to the Microbiology laboratory FIRST. The CSF specimens will then be transported to the individual laboratories. CSF specimens need to be transported immediately after the sample is obtained within 1 hour. This test is included in the CSF cell count panel.
