All Blood Bank tests are available on the UCSD PCIS Order/Entry System

  1.  Using the PCIS main menu, use the mr# or pt# and select "04" for order/charge functions, .

  2.  The patient demographics will be displayed, .

  3.  Use the line number reflecting the appropriate active pt#.

  4.  Order/charge processing functions will be displayed.

  5.  Under order functions, select "01" enter order .

  6.  On order display, enter physician's pin number, and key in "03" blood bank or "01" common

       procedures across all labs, .

  7.  Select the appropriate procedure you wish to order.

      Procedures can also be ordered using the following form:

          Form # 151-104 MULTI LABS [Chem/Hem/UA/Tox/BB/Rheum]
