At the UC San Diego Health System, we encourage our health care professionals to pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities whenever possible. We believe that learning should be a lifelong endeavor.

• CME – Continuing Medical Education at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine offers physicians and other health care professionals educational opportunities that foster excellence in patient care.
• UC San Diego Center for Resusitation Science - research, education and clinical leadership in order to improve resuscitation practices and patient outcomes, in and out of the hospital.

• University of California, San Diego School of Medicine – Office of Graduate Medical Education - The University of California, San Diego School of Medicine offers 53 ACGME accredited Residency programs and 2 combined residency programs for a total of 55 programs with 614 intern, resident and fellow trainees in the 2005-2006 academic year. UCSD also offers training to another 111 trainees in approximately 30 fellowship programs for which accreditation is not currently available.
