An Innovative Program for Adults With Hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, and Other Bleeding and Thrombotic Disorders

The Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center is an innovative, multidisciplinary program catering to the needs of adult patients and their families with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, and other bleeding and thrombotic disorders. It is one of very few centers in the United States specializing exclusively in adult hemophilia care, and provides comprehensive services at UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest. The center is under the directorship of Dr. Annette von Drygalski.

In addition, the center provides specialized services for patients with thrombotic disorders at Moores Cancer Center in La Jolla.

The center also works closely with Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego to facilitate the transition of adolescents with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, catering to the special needs of young adults.

Dedicated staff is available 7 days per week and 24 hours per day to provide timely care.
