Fighting Parkinson's Step by Step: 5K Walk/Run 2013

The Parkinson's Association of San Diego had their annual 5K walk/run to help raise funds to improve the quality of life for those affected by Parkinson's disease. The UC San Diego Movement Disorder Center and Parkinson's Disease Research Consortium participated in the Medical Expo. Our own Dr. Stephanie Lessig
spoke at the event.

Brain Health Fair

presented an Update on Parkinson's Disease at this event that was free to the public. Dr. Litvan also presented the Update on Parkinson's Disease in Spanish.
Learning About Essential Tremor

Parkinson's Disease Symposium for Patients & Caregivers

The UC San Diego Movement Disorder Center held their first annual Parkinson's disease symposium for patients and caregivers on June 9, 2012. UC San Diego physicians, researchers, and rehabilitation therapists spoke on a variety of topics that pertain to patients and their families, from cognitive problems to occupational-, speech-, and physical therapy options.
