Mammography Practicum

The Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine is offering a one-week Practicum in Mammography for Radiologic Technologists. The 5 day course, Monday through Friday, provides 40 hours of mammography education in a university setting with strong emphasis on clinical application. Approximately 5 courses are held each year. Dates are selected based on need and are announced usually 6 weeks in advance.

It is designed to train the technologist to perform high quality mammography, satisfying the standards set by the FDA, The American College of Radiology and the State of California Rules of Good Practice.
