Radiology Science Training Program

The UC San Diego Radiology Science Programs provide quality education and training for careers in Medical Imaging. Students learn the art and science of Radiology in both the classroom and in a clinical setting using modern technology and equipment. The Diagnostic, Nuclear Medicine and Sonography programs are certified by UCSD and National accreditation agencies.


  • Diagnostic Imaging - Associate Arts Program
    Mesa College offers a two year Radiologic Technology program leading to an associate degree in Medical Science or a certificate. UC San Diego Medical Center is one of several clinical locations.
  • Nuclear Medicine - California Certificate Program
    The Nuclear Medicine program consists of didactic and clinical education integrated into 12 months of intensive, full-time study beginning in July .
  • Sonography - California Certificate Program
    The Sonography program is an intensive 12 month full-time Medical Sonography training course. The students will perform their clinical rotation at one of six hospital affiliates.
  • Mammography Practicum
    The Department of Radiology School of Medicine is offering a one-week Practicum in Mammography for Radiological Technologists
