We are the only team in San Diego performing robot-assisted minimally invasive colorectal surgery, and one of the first in California. TAMIS

A recent breakthrough in colorectal care available at UC San Diego Health System is transanal minimally invasive surgery or TAMIS. TAMIS procedures combine single incision laparoscopic methods with transanal endoscopic microsurgery. We have been successfully treating many colorectal diseases using the TAMIS approach, and training surgeons throughout the nation on this advanced treatment method.
