Sinus and Nasal Dysfunction

The specialists at the Nasal Dysfunction Clinic at UC San Diego Health System provide comprehensive care to patients with nasal and sinus (“rhinological”) problems. Experts in our clinic have advanced training in diagnosing and treating patients with nose and sinus symptoms.

Nasal and sinus disorders are frequently associated with problems such as asthma, sleep apnea, headaches, and impaired quality of life. We offer a full range of diagnostic services and individualized treatment of sinus and nasal disorders, both conservatively (with non-surgical interventions) and when necessary, surgically. In addition, UC San Diego is heavily involved in research and clinical trials related to sinus and nasal dysfunction, offering patients newly developed therapies, technologies and procedures to treat these frustrating conditions.

Our comprehensive approach to care can involve a multidisciplinary team of experts including pulmonologists (lung doctors), immunologists, neurologists, and our Sleep Medicine Center. Read more about the conditions we treat below.
