- Home of the San Diego division of the California Poison Control System, a statewide provider of immediate, free and expert treatment advice and assistance over the telephone in case of exposure to poisonous, hazardous or toxic substances.
- Part of the California Smokers Helpline -- a partnership between investigators at the Moores UCSD Cancer Center and the California Department of Health that offers telephone counseling assistance and a range of other free services, such as self help materials and opportunities to participate in ongoing research projects.
