Margarita Baggett, R.N., M.S.M., Chief Nursing Officer |

 Margarita Baggett, R.N., M.S.N. joined UCSD Medical Center as Chief Nursing Officer July 31, 2006. Ms. Baggett is a highly accomplished nursing leader with extensive experience in quality management, service excellence, patient through-put, staff recruitment and retention and regulatory affairs. She has over 27 years of progressively responsible experience in the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Healthcare System, a multi-hospital system consisting of 15 hospitals.
Ms. Baggett, a Wharton Fellow from the Nurse Executive Management Program, has a Masters of Science from Adelphi University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Molloy College.
In her role as Chief Nursing Officer, Ms Baggett provides leadership and direction for the nursing staff at both of UCSD's hospitals, and has responsibility for a number of professional and patient care services. Ms. Baggett may be contacted at mbaggett@ucsd.edu.
