Medical care at the UCSD Medical Center frequently involves two charge components: a professional fee (the physician) and the facility fee (services, pharmacy, procedures, lab, and hospital). The UCSD Medical Group bills for the physician component, while the UCSD Medical Center bills for the facility component. Therefore, you may receive two billing statements regarding the same services rendered.

When you check in at the main lobby Information Desk, let the receptionist know about any changes in insurance coverage since your last visit or changes in your address or phone number(s).

All copayments are due at the time of service.

Questions about your account with the Moores UCSD Cancer Center should be directed to the medical center billing office.

You are responsible for any portion of your medical fees not covered by insurance. Please check your insurance policy, coverage, benefits, and copayment responsibility with your health plan prior to your appointment. The customer service number is located on the back of your insurance card.
