Accreditation & Credentials Earned by the UCSD/Sharp BMT Program
The Blood and Marrow Transplant Program is a key unit of the Moores UCSD Cancer Center, which is a designated Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. Only 39of the nation’s top cancer centers hold this designation. The UCSD/Sharp BMT Program is: One of 16 charter members of the prestigious Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMTCTN) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). With about 20 transplant center members, this is the premier BMT clinical trials group in the world. The majority of BMT procedures performed in the U.S. are by centers who are members of BMTCTN.
