The Moores UCSD Cancer Center in La Jolla, California is convenient for you – and supports our mission – because it unites under one roof approximately 600 faculty and staff devoted to clinical and patient support services, research, prevention/outreach programs and administrative support. You need not run around to scattered locations because your UC San Diego medical team works together on your behalf in a building designed for that purpose.
Designed by Patients for Patients
Our facility, which opened in 2005, reflects our desire to humanize the cancer experience while supporting our “bench-to-bedside” approach to cancer research and patient care. The design of the facility and the programs and services offered within it are testament not only to the expertise of UCSD faculty and staff, but also to the ongoing dialog with -- and insights provided by -- patients, survivors, family caregivers and volunteers represented on our Patient Advisory Council.
