Important Information

Check in at the front desk in the Imaging Department.

Patients must have a referral from a primary care physician or specialist.

If you have prior mammogram films at a site other than UCSD, bring them with you or request that they be sent to the Imaging Department for comparison with your current study.

For mammogram appointments, refrain from using any deodorant, lotions, powders, or creams on the chest and underarm area the morning of the exam. To avoid complications, patients undergoing breast biopsy must not be taking Coumadin or other blood thinners (aspirin, Plavix, Advil, or ibuprofen) for seven days prior to the procedure.

On the 1st floor, down the hallway to the left of the lobby elevators, past the Multispecialty Clinic.
