The Head and Neck Oncology Program provides comprehensive clinical care to patients with malignant tumors of the head and neck. 

Our patient care team includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, dental medicine specialists, a speech and swallowing disorders specialist, and a nurse specialist in head and neck oncology.  Meet some of the members of our team.

Working Together for You

All patient cases are presented at a multidisciplinary tumor board, which is comprised of the patient care team as well as radiologists and pathologists.  We provide state-of-the-art treatment options including advanced surgical and reconstructive techniques.  In addition to standard radiation therapy, conformal radiotherapy, gamma knife, and stereotactic radiotherapy are also used when appropriate.  Read more about our radiation oncology treatment options

Research & Clinical Trials

The Head and Neck Oncology Unit participates in innovative clinical trials investigating new technologies and treatments.  As a subsite of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group—a national research organization funded by the National Cancer Institute—we are also involved in radiation therapy research.
