The Pharmacy includes three specialty areas: Retail/Outpatient, Infusion, and Investigational Drug Services.
Retail/Outpatient Pharmacy
This pharmacy provides outpatient prescription filling services, counseling, and insurance billing for patients. Clinic and infusion patients may choose to fill their prescriptions at this location.
Infusion Pharmacy
This pharmacy provides medications for all patient care areas located within the Cancer Center using Pyxis MedStations, an automated medication management system that guarantees correct medication and dosage for every patient. There is also a state-of-the-art sterile compounding clean room in which all patient parenteral medications (i.e., chemotherapy) are prepared, safety checked, and monitored.
Investigational Drug Services
This area offers a series of services to investigators who are conducting clinical research: assists in executing the scientific, clinical, and administrative function of research, as well as preparing and dispensing
