We believe that food nourishes the body, nurtures the spirit, and is essential for health and healing. Our research focuses on how diet can help prevent and control diseases like cancer. We are now offering these services to the public.
The UCSD Healthy Eating Program is designed to help you adopt a diet that will promote health and fight disease. You can choose from a variety of services, including:
Our counseling staff has an average of 8 years of experience in helping people to successfully adopt and maintain healthy eating habits. All counseling staff are university educated with degrees and/or experience in nutrition and counseling, and they are supervised by Vicky Newman, MS, RD, Associate Clinical Professor in the UCSD Department of Family & Preventive Medicine.
The UCSD Healthy Eating Program is focused on simple, healthy, inexpensive, and delicious foods that are readily available. Specialty food products and/or dietary supplements are not necessary for participation.
