ResearchMatch: Everyone benefits when you volunteer
UC San Diego participates in ResearchMatch. Anyone can join. ResearchMatch can help ‘match’ you with any type of research study, ranging from surveys to clinical trials. You decide which ones interest you.
UC San Diego Health Sciences is a hub for translational, or “bench-to-bedside” medicine. Physician-scientists work together across disciplines to bring new discoveries to our patients. In fact, our patients are often the first to benefit from these novel treatments that later become the standard of care worldwide. Each year, we enroll participants in hundreds of clinical trials of promising new investigational drugs, treatments and devices.
Excellent patient care is always available at UC San Diego Health System, whether you choose to participate in a clinical trial or receive standard treatment. The decision to enter a clinical trial is always up to you.
Search for a clinical trial
You can search for a clinical trial using the National Institutes of Health (NIH) clinical trials database, clinicaltrials.gov.
Note: For cancer clinical trials, see Moores Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office.
Please note that the clinical trials search tool is intended as a guide only and may not give complete results. Clinical trials information is updated periodically, so there is the potential that a trial listed as open on this site may not be open any longer. UC San Diego also conducts research studies that may not be listed in the NIH database. For more information on research and clinical trials, see Medical Services and locate the specialty related to your medical condition. On these medical services pages, you may find contact info for clinical trial coordinators associated with particular conditions.
