For more than four decades now, philanthropic partnerships with individuals, businesses, foundations, and other organizations have led to the steady growth of the UC San Diego Health Sciences. We recognize that partners and friends are the backbone of this institution and its Health Sciences priorities—that we could not be who we are today without ongoing support. In this way, we in Health Sciences Development work to align the priorities of our generous friends in the community with those of the UCSD Medical Center, Thornton Hospital, the Moores UCSD Cancer Center, the Shiley Eye Center, the UCSD School of Medicine, the Sulpizio Family Cardiovascular Center, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences ,and several specialties and programs. In cooperation with the Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences, it is our charge to bolster private sector philanthropy to support academic, research, and clinical services related programs and projects at UC San Diego.

In order to sustain a four-part mission of patient care, research, education, and outreach, we are counting on the support of our partners and friends now more than ever before.
