Special Instructions: |
Specimens must be received in the laboratory within four hours of collection time. Patients with hematocrits in excess of 56% will need to have special tubes for collection. Call the Hematology laboratory prior to blood collection at 32244. The protime result will be accompanied with an INR result (international normalized ratio). See INR procedure for more information about the "INR." |
