Special Instructions: Correct method of collection for 24-hour specimens: 1. Discard first morning specimen. 2. Save all urine voided, up to and including the first morning specimen at the end of the 24 hours. 3. All 24-hour collections should be refrigerated or kept on ice. 4. Collection dates and times must be noted on the chemistry test request. 5. If submitting more than one container for a 24-hour collection, label the containers "part 1 of 2 parts" or "part 2 of 2 parts".
