Special Instructions:

HLA antibody testing is typically ordered for patients undergoing solid organ transplantation. HLA antibody testing can also be helpful in the diagnosis of patients suffering transfusion reactions.  Please see ITL notes section for more information on the utility of the various methods of HLA antibody testing.  For testing recommendations please consult the laboratory director at 858-642-4774.
