Patients and visitors now have easier access to UCSD parking areas.
To facilitate easy in-and-out access, pay-by-space machines are available in the visitor parking areas.
Where Are The Machines Located?
The machines have been installed in the following areas:
- Levels one through seven in the newly renovated Arbor Parking Structure at UCSD Medical Center, Hillcrest
- Moores UCSD Cancer Center parking lot in La Jolla
How Do The Machines Affect Parking?
The new system has eliminated validation tickets and there should be no waiting in a line of cars to enter or leave the parking areas.
Patients and visitors can park in a numbered parking stall, note the stall number posted on a sign or on the ground, and pay at the pay-by-space machine using cash or a credit card.
How Much Will Parking Cost?
New parking rates for pay-by-space will be:
- 1 hour - $1
- 2 hours - $2
- 3 hours - $3
- 4 hours - $4
- 5 hours - $5
- 6 hours - $6
- 7 hours - $7
- 8 hours to 24 hours - $8
