New Clinic Location Benefits Patients
The new clinic space benefits patients in a number of ways:
Patients can see all UCSD general pediatricians in one clinic space and will not have to travel to different clinics if they need to see an alternate pediatrician.
- If a patient needs to go to Rady Children’s Hospital to see a specialist they are steps away.
- The clinic houses 18 new exam rooms designed to be child and adolescent-friendly.
- The front reception area provides separate waiting areas for adolescents and children.
- The new building houses a pharmacy, lab, imaging suite and restaurant adjoined by a parking structure.
- Patients can easily access the new clinic suite by car and public transportation.
- Local bus route 25 drops patient families near the building
- The Mesa College Drive/Kearny Villa Road exits off Highways 163 and 805 are a close driving distance to the new building
- Multi-level structure directly next to the new building

New Phone Number, Patient Record Numbers, Computer Systems
In addition to a new phone number the new clinic space involve new processes, new patient record numbers, new computer systems and new forms that may initially create brief delays during this transitional period. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may cause.

Existing appointments have been transferred to the new scheduling system. If for any reason staff needs to re-schedule a patient appointment, they will contact patients in advance. Patients may receive a phone call to confirm a scheduled appointment or update information to re-register for new patient medical record numbers.
UCSD Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine formed a relationship with Rady Children's Hospital management company, Rady Children’s Physician Management Services (RCPMS). They are
very experienced with managing pediatric and adolescent medicine practices and will be working
with UCSD at the new location.
Billing Information
If you have existing account balances for services prior to September 5, 2006, you will be receiving two statements; one for your past services and a new and different statement for services rendered at the new location.
For business reasons, your new billing statement for services at the new site will have the name UCSD Pediatric Associates in addition to the current UCSD name.
