Daniel Davis
Daniel Davis, MD

Dr. Daniel Davis completed his medical school and emergency medicine residency at UC San Diego. As a third year resident, he was recognized as the "UC San Diego Medical Center Resident of the Year," the first for our department. During his senior year, he served as one of our two chiefs and was named "Outstanding EM Resident." He was also recognized nationally as the recipient of the "Cord Resident Academic Achievement Award." As a faculty member, Dr. Davis has developed a primary interest in resuscitation research and currently holds several grants in both basic and clinical science. This includes the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium, which represents the largest resuscitation research effort in history. In addition, Dr. Davis serves as UC San Diego resuscitation director and director of the UC San Diego Center for Resuscitation Science. In this capacity, he has developed several award-winning resuscitation training programs used in the inpatient and EMS environments. Dr. Davis is medical director for six air medical bases in Southern California and scientific advisor to Air Methods Corporation, the largest air medical provider in the world.
Anushirvan Minokadeh

Dr. Anushirvan Minokadeh is the associate director of the UC San Diego Center for Resuscitation Science. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed his critical care medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Minokadeh is an assistant clinical professor in the department of anesthesiology at UC San Diego School of Medicine. His research interests include liver failure and liver transplantation, endocrinological emergencies, and mechanical ventilation and weaning.


Rebecca Sell

Dr. Rebecca Sell is an assistant professor of clinical medicine and the associate program director for the internal medicine residency program at UC San Diego. She enjoys critical thinking and problem solving in the practice of pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Sells' clinical interests include chronic lung disease and critical care medicine. Her investigative interests include cardiac arrest and resuscitation, quality improvement and medical education.
