Musical “Evening With…” to Benefit High-Risk Mothers-to-Be and Infants
Friends of UCSD Healthcare will present “An Evening With…Cecil Lytle” on Saturday, November 11 as a benefit for UCSD Healthcare’s high-risk pregnancy and neonatal intensive care programs. The event will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina beginning at 6:30 p.m.
An accomplished concert pianist of international stature, Lytle is Provost of Thurgood Marshall College, Professor of Music, and a founding force behind UCSD’s Preuss School, a charter school for promising students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The title of his “Evening With…” program is “A Tale of Two Cities: Harlem and Vienna.”
Honorary chairs of the black tie gala are Julie and Lowell Potiker and Mary and Rolf Benirschke. Event chair is Carol Chang, and co-chairs are Sally Ashburn, Ellen MacVean and Victoria Powell. Emcee for the evening is KGTV News anchorwoman and health reporter Carol LeBeau.
