Robert M. Kaplan Is New Editor of Annals of Behavioral Medicine
Robert M. Kaplan, Ph.D., professor and
chair of UCSD’s Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, and member, UCSD
Cancer Center, is the new editor of the Annals
of Behavioral Medicine, the quarterly journal of the Society of Behavioral
Medicine.
In his first issue debuting Feb. 8, Kaplan notes that the publication will phase in several new features including editorial commentary, letters to the editor relevant to published research, and a new section on “evidence-based practice,” which will provide reviews of behavioral intervention applications in health care.
The editorial staff of the Annals includes prominent researchers and clinicians from throughout the U.S., including several UCSD faculty members: associate editor, Paul J. Mills, Ph.D., UCSD associate adjunct professor, Psychiatry and member, UCSD Cancer Center; consulting editor, Donna Kritz-Silverstein, Ph.D., associate adjunct professor, Family and Preventive Medicine; associate consulting editor, John P. Pierce, Ph.D., professor, Family and Preventive Medicine and member, UCSD Cancer Center; and managing editor, Diane L. Sweet, administrative assistant, Family and Preventive Medicine.
