Open House logoThe San Diego community was invited to "explore UCSD" at an all-campus Open House held Saturday, Oct. 20. The event marked the completion of UCSD's 40th anniversary year and celebrate Homecoming for UCSD alumni.

UCSD Healthcare activities included representatives from the Cancer Center, Shiley Eye Center and Stein Institute for Research on Aging.

 

 

UCSD Healthcare's role in the community's emergency response system was highlighted with emergency vehicles and personnel.
UCSD Regional Burn Center had lots of tips and information for parents and kids alike.
   
The UCSD Healthcare sponsored DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) were deployed to Ground Zero.

 

Teri Polley, R.N., Thornton ER, and a certified massage therapist revitalized a weary Open House attendee.
 

 

Kids get crafty at the pumpkin-painting table sponsored by Whole Foods.
 
UCSD Healthcare Women's Services were on hand to explain everything from birthing to menopause.
