Primary care physicians at UC San Diego Health System provide a full range of services for adults and children of all ages. - Family medicine physicians provide care to the complete life spectrum from newborns to geriatrics. Some family medicine physicians provide obstetrical care, sports medicine and mental healthcare.
- Internal medicine physicians may offer subspecialty care in cardiology, endocrinology and metabolism, nephrology and hypertension, and allergy and clinical immunology.
- Geriatric medicine physicians are internists who specialize in treating older adults.
