At UC San Diego, our team of interventional cardiologists is actively involved in carrying out numerous investigational studies of newer pharmacological agents and devices for the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
We performed the first carotid stent with an FDA approved system in San Diego county. We are also dedicated to training the next generation of interventional cardiologists and have an ACGME approved training program in interventional cardiology at UCSD which attracts the top minds from around the country to come and train here.
