Patients must have a referral from their physician to be seen at the Epilepsy Center for an initial evaluation as well as for a second opinion.
A faculty neurologist will provide a comprehensive evaluation to determine management options. Medication adjustments or adjunctive therapy may be indicated. Some patients may qualify for entry into clinical protocols with investigational anti-epileptic medications. If the diagnosis or type of epilepsy is in doubt, inpatient EEG/video monitoring may be recommended.
