The Abraham Ratner Children's Eye Center is immediately adjacent to Shiley and is the only dedicated eye facility in the region designed to meet the special vision needs of children.
Shiley Eye Center physicians, all of whom are faculty members of the UCSD School of Medicine, are internationally respected authorities in their fields. Several have pioneered sight-saving diagnostic and surgical techniques that have become the new standard in eye care. Patients travel to Shiley from all over the world to seek treatments perfected at the center.
