The UCSD Cardiomyopathy Center's staff is dedicated to maintaining open lines of communication with referring physicians and involving them in important patient care decisions. Appointments are scheduled daily, Monday through Friday, and patient evaluations can be accommodated within 24 hours with direct physician to physician referral.
The Cardiomyopathy Center will assist in the management of patients with the following conditions:
- Left Ventricular Dysfunction
- Refractory Diastolic Heart Failure
- Adult Congenital Heart Disease
- Right Heart Failure
- Pulmonary Hypertension
Diagnostic testing modalities available include:
- Rest/Stress & Pharmacologic Echocardiographic Imaging
- Nuclear & Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Pulmonary & Cardiac Catherization, Including:
- Interventional Cardiology Techniques
- Endomyocardial Biopsies
- Electrophysiologic Testing
- Specialized Electrophysiologic Procedures
