The Neuromuscular Service provides outpatient and inpatient electromyography and nerve conduction studies for the evaluation of neuromuscular disorders.
These tests are performed at our clinics at the UCSD Medical Center, Hillcrest and Perlman Ambulatory Care Center in La Jolla. The Neuromuscular Service also provides comprehensive clinical evaluation and management of neuromuscular disorders, including a multidisciplinary clinic for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). At the Perlman clinic, therapeutic botulinum toxin injections are available.
Laboratory services include:
- Electromyography
- Motor and sensory nerve conduction studies
- Repetitive nerve stimulation
- Single fiber electromyography
