The Neurological Institute is made up of a number of specialty programs that serve as comprehensive care centers for neurological diseases. A multisite care and research program for children and adults living with Down syndrome.

bullet Epilepsy Center

Established in 1985, our Epilepsy Center is the only nationally certified epilepsy center in San Diego.

A multi-disciplinary clinic addressing cognitive disorders, including dementias such as Alzheimer's disease.

A multidisciplinary spine disorder treatment and research program.

A partnership of pediatric neurologists, adolescent neurologists, neurosurgeons and medical specialists who treat diseases and injuries affecting the brain and nervous system of children.

The Peripheral Nerve Disorders Center at UC San Diego Neurological Institute is a national leader in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the peripheral nerves.

bullet Stroke & Neurovascular Diseases Program

The first stroke center in San Diego to receive certification as a “Primary Stroke Center” by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
