Conditions and disorders we treat
- Traumatic bony injuries including upper extremity fractures and dislocations with particular expertise in the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow
- Traumatic injuries to upper extremity nerves, muscles, tendons and blood vessels
- Early and late reconstruction of post-traumatic upper extremity injuries, including post-traumatic arthritis, contractures, malunions and nonunions of fractures, nerve injuries, muscle and tendon injuries, vascular injuries and injuries to the skin
- Arthritis of the hand, thumb, wrist and elbow including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and post-traumatic arthritis
- Tendon problems including tendon injuries, from laceration or rupture, tendonitis, tenosynovitis
- Joint contractures including post traumatic causes and acquired (Dupuytren’s contracture)
- Upper extremity tumors (Ganglion’s and other benign neoplasms; malignant upper-extremity tumors)
- Nerve problems of the upper extremity including injury and compressive neuropathies, radial tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, anterior and posterior interosseous nerve syndromes, carpal tunnel syndrome, pronator syndrome
- Upper extremity congenital problems including extra digits, syndactyly, epidermolysis bullosa contractures, Madelung’s deformity, radial-club hand, congenital finger deformities, arthrogryposis, cerebral palsy
- Infections of the upper extremity
Surgical Procedures
Our treatment areas of expertise include:
- Open and endoscopic carpal tunnel release for carpal tunnel syndrome
- Wrist and elbow arthroscopy for the treatment of joint loose bodies, arthritis, ligament injuries and fractures
- Total joint replacement for treatment of end-stage arthritis of the elbow, wrist and fingers
