Chris Searles, MD
Dr. Chris Searles is board-certified in family medicine and psychiatry and has extensive clinical experience in providing care from a “whole person” perspective. He strives to balance traditional medical care with recreation, physical activity and nutrition, in order to help patients reach their healthiest potential.
Dr. Searles has been with UC San Diego Health System since 2000 and has served as the training director for the Combined Family Medicine and Psychiatry Residency Program. He is an internationally recognized speaker on the subjects of preventive health and achieving work and life balance among professionals in high-stress work environments. Dr. Searles completed his residency training at UC San Diego and earned his medical degree from UC Davis.
Dr. Searles is very active in the San Diego community and serves on the board of directors for several local education and health-related nonprofit organizations. He was recognized for his community work with the 2009 National Community Service Award by the American Medical Association. He was also the recipient of the 2010 Herbert G. Klein Visionary Award by LEAD San Diego, and has been recognized by SD Metro Magazine as one of its “40 Under 40.”
Kristy Lamb, MD
Dr. Kristy Lamb practices family medicine and psychiatry at UC San Diego Health System. She is board-certified in family medicine and psychiatry and specializes in providing care from a “whole person” perspective. Her research interests include the treatment of patients struggling with substance abuse and maternal mental health.
Dr. Lamb completed a combined residency training program in family medicine and psychiatry, as well as a fellowship in community and public psychiatry at UC San Diego Health System. She also completed a complementary and integrative medicine fellowship at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine and a psychodynamic fellowship at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. Dr. Lamb earned her Doctor of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine and a master’s degree in philosophy and social theory from the University of Colorado in Denver, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
Dr. Lamb received an Honorable Mention as Resident Role Model from UC San Diego Health System’s Department of Psychiatry and the Robert R. Huntley, MD Ward for Academic Excellence in Family Medicine from Georgetown. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Psychiatric Association and American Association of Community Physicians. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lamb has participated in several marathons and triathlons, and practices yoga and meditation.
