Pulmonary Rehabilitation

The primary goal of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is to restore patients with chronic lung disease to the highest possible level of independent function.

Patients are referred by their physicians. Adult patients with chronic lung diseases such as COPD or pulmonary fibrosis will be screened to see if they are eligible to participate.

Our rehab specialists provide the following services:

  • Pulmonary function and exercise evaluation
  • Individualized exercise program
  • Education about lung disease
  • Respiratory care techniques
  • Diaphragmatic breathing instruction
  • Nutrition counseling
  • Panic control techniques
  • Group therapy sessions
