Curriculum of the Mammography Practicum
The curriculum includes physics and technical factors, quality assurance, basic and advanced positioning, patient relations and history, early detection of breast cancer, film critique and extensive clinical observation experience.
Clinical Workshop
Each student participates in a lab/workshop the first afternoon with 4 full hours of positioning with a live model. In addition, each student spends two four hour afternoons observing an experienced, accredited technologist positioning patients.
