The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is devoted to providing quality care to all patients. We have an extensive support staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and social workers to meet all the needs of our patient population. Attention to detail begins with the first consultative visits and continues throughout hospitalization and post-operative follow-up care. Our service provides twenty-four hour nurse practitioner on-call availability.
Our department specializes in all aspects of cardiothoracic disease including:
- Coronary artery bypass
- Adult and congenital valve repair and replacement
- Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy
- Surgery of the great vessels of the chest including aneurysms
- Congenital heart surgery
- Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy
- General thoracic surgery including lung resection, lung volume reduction surgery for emphysema, and esophageal surgery
