At the Center for the Future of Surgery, our efforts in “scarless” surgery techniques, including NOTES and LESSOnc, have achieved worldwide acclaim for GI conditions, including hernia repair, weight loss surgery, liver resection, and appendix or gallbladder removal. The bariatric surgery team at UC San Diego Bariatric and Metabolic Institute offers sleeve gastrectomy, gastric banding, gastric bypass, revisional bypass and gastric plication. Our advanced surgical procedures are changing the course of metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes and obesity.
