Vascular Surgery & Endovascular Therapy |
 |
The UCSD Section of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy offers comprehensive, cutting edge treatment for the entire spectrum of vascular disease. We specialize in the management of vascular conditions ranging from medical therapies and risk factor control to surgical and minimally invasive procedures.
Our surgeons are vascular specialists who are experts in surgical treatment, endovascular treatment and medical management of complex vascular conditions, including:
- aortic aneurysms
- carotid disease
- peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
- venous disease, including deep vein thrombosis
All of the faculty in the UCSD Vascular Surgery & Endovascular Therapy division are board certified in vascular surgery and are recognized experts in the field.
Over the last few years, we have made dramatic advances in the treatment of vascular conditions. For many patients, minimally invasive endovascular treatments are now available due to advanced technology and techniques.
The treatment method chosen is based on the feasibility of the treatment, anticipated success rate, the surgeon’s assessment of the risks/benefits in the case of the individual patient, and above all, the patient's preference. We will collaborate and communicate with you through each phase of your diagnosis and treatment.
