Our support groups are designed for individuals in different stages of the transplant process. These programs provide an opportunity for families to learn from each other, as well as prepare for recovery and life after transplantation.
The UCSD Center for Transplantation also accommodates the personal needs of families in the hospital setting. Sleeping rooms, shower facilities and a small playroom are available in the hospital for families of transplant patients. In addition, affordable accommodations are available at the Bannister Family House, located on the UCSD Medical Center campus in Hillcrest.
