Volunteer Orientation Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with UCSD Medical Center!

Our next volunteer orientations will be held on the following dates:

Please allow 30 minutes to find parking.

To prepare for your orientation, please download and complete the following forms.

Orientation Forms

  1. Application forms (Page 1, and Page 2).
  2. Background Check forms, include your Social Security Number and Driver’s License Number. (Not applicable if under age 18)
  3. Confidentiality Agreement.
Directions/Parking

Hillcrest Medical Center

  • Review the map to help guide you to UCSD Medical Center (Hillcrest), 200 West Arbor Drive, San Diego. The auditorium is located in the northwest corner of the Medical Center's main building – follow the yellow signs.
  • Park in the Arbor Dr. parking structure, in the visitor section. You will be responsible for the $3 parking fee. Please allow ample time to find parking as it can be congested.

Moores UCSD Cancer Center

  • Review the map to help guide you to Moores Cancer Center (La Jolla), 3855 Health Sciences Drive, La Jolla. The auditorium is located on the second floor – follow the yellow signs.
  • Park in the visitor parking areas. You will be responsible for the $2 parking fee. Please allow ample time to find parking as it can be congested.
  • Seating is limited to 110.
Other Important Information
  1. Review the information on our website 
  2. Look over the various areas of volunteer opportunities.
  3. Bring a pen.
  4. You will be signing up for a 15 minute interview that will take place at our Hillcrest location on a different date, at the conclusion of the orientation.
  5. The day of your interview you will have a blood draw and get a TB test placed. You will need to return to get the TB test read 2-3 days later, the same location you got it placed.
  6. The closer to the front you sit, the earlier you get to sign up for an interview.
