  • Fourth Floor Waiting Room
    Equipped with a television and play area, your family and friends can gather in one spacious room while awaiting the good news of your baby's arrival.

  • Birth Center Room
    The Birth Center provides family-centered maternity care in a comfortable, home-like setting, including five spacious birthing suites, a family room with kitchenette, a play area for siblings and a parent resource library.

  • Fetal Assessment Room
    The caring staff at UCSD Medical Center will assess your labor progress in the Fetal Assessment Room.

  • Infant Special Care Center
    Located seconds away from any delivery room at UCSD Medical Center, the Infant Special Care Center is a highly specialized, nationally recognized center of excellence providing the highest level of care available for newborns.

  • Labor Delivery Room
    The Labor & Delivery unit includes remodeled labor, delivery and recovery rooms and state-of-the-art surgical suites for Cesarean deliveries.

  • Parent Resource Room
    Review informative materials on a variety of topics, including childcare and development, nutrition, pregnancy and parenting issues in the Parent Resource Room.

  • Postpartum Room
    After giving birth, enjoy a quiet environment where specialized nurses tend to you and your newborn in a private or semi-private room.
