Perinatal Medicine

For a family facing a problem or high-risk pregnancy, nothing rivals the security of knowing an experienced team of specialists is overseeing the health of mother and baby through delivery.

The UCSD Perinatal Medicine program not only offers women peace of mind but also 24-hour consultation and management of pregnancy complications.

Each case is managed by a team of perinatologists, neonatologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists and pediatric surgeons.

About HIgh-Risk Pregnancy

  • Are younger than 15 when you conceive
  • Have had a child with birth defects
  • Have a family history of birth defects
  • Have a history of complications with prior pregnancies
