The Perinatal Medicine program provides 24-hour consultation and management of pregnancy complications, overseeing the health of mother and baby through delivery.

Our team of perinatologists, neonatologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists and pediatric surgeons is committed to providing individualized family centered care to women.
High-Risk Pregnancies
Your pregnancy may be overseen by a perinatologist if there is a condition that puts you, your baby, or both of you at higher-than-normal risk for complications during pregnancy or during or after birth.
You may be a high-risk pregnancy patient if you:
- Will be 35 years of age or older when you deliver
- Are younger than 15 when you conceive
- Have had a child with birth defects
- Have a family history of birth defects
- Have a history of complications with prior pregnancies
- Have a serious medical condition, such as high blood pressure, insulin-dependent (Type I) diabetes, cancer or heart disease
- Have inflammatory bowel disease or auto-immune disorders
