Did You Know?

  • In 2012, there was an estimated 21,870 new cases of acute HCV infections.
  • Hepatitis C is the leading cause for liver transplants in the United States.
  • Thanks to new drugs, hepatitis C is curable.
  • There is no vaccine for hepatitis C.
  • Most people with hepatitis C don’t know they have it.

Of every 100 people who are exposed to HCV:

  • 70 people will develop a chronic infection.
