Newswise — UC San Diego Medical Center, located in Hillcrest, has been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Thomson Reuters. Ranked among the country’s major teaching hospitals, the Medical Center was also one of twelve hospitals to receive the Everest Award. This award honors hospitals that have achieved both the highest current performance and the fastest long-term improvement over a five-year period in Reuter’s national benchmarking study.

UC San Diego Health is proud to receive the 2011 UHC Quality Leadership Award. This national award is given to academic medical centers that demonstrate excellence in delivering high-quality care as measured by the UHC Quality & Accountability Study, which has been conducted by the consortium annually since 2005.
Davis and Resuscitation Plan Receive Awards

Daniel P. Davis, MD, recently accepted two awards for the UC San Diego Health resuscitation plan, which includes advanced resuscitation training (ART) and basic resuscitation training (BART), and the rapid response teams. ART/BART are our alternatives to the American Heart Association’s advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS).
